Everyone needs a place to sketch or write down their thoughts. When we have beautiful things made by hand, we are more likely to use them in a meaningful way.  I begin by hand-tearing soft white, unlined, acid-free, 80# text paper that is ideal for drawing and writing with pen or pencil.  The exposed spine stitching allows the book to lay flat when it is open. 

This journal is covered with hemp/organic cotton fabric that is tea-dyed in the Kata Golda studio. The front cover is adorned with a simple hand-stitched image of flowers and is embellished with stitched plant-dyed silk. The journal contains 116 pages of unlined soft white acid-free paper. Measures 5 x 6.5”.
