sewing tutorial: unplanned flower pin
$ 0.00
Flower pins are my favorite way to put my plant-dyed wool felt scraps to good use. These are unplanned in that there are no templates or rules. I like to use 2 to 4 colors of wool felt and 2 to 3 colors of colorful thread per flower. Let the shape of your scraps and the flowers outside your window guide you. You can aim for a realistic flower or something wild from your imagination. These are quite addictive to make.
If you would like to make pins with my plant-dyed fabric scraps, I put a little kit together. It has enough felt for two pins with colors chosen with flowers in mind, two collarless safety pins, and a card with a link to the tutorial. Find it HERE. My plant dyed wool felt is also available in 4" square bundles and big scrap bags.
There are two ways to access the pattern: you can add it to your shopping cart, and once you complete the check-out process (no credit card required) the tutorial will automatically be emailed to you. OR you can click the image below to view and/or download the PDF file straight from this page.
