free sewing tutorial: felt pocket

$ 0.00

I first made one of these felt pockets for a friend who is an avid cycler. She wanted more to give as gifts for her bike riding pals as it was the perfect size for holding all the little bits in her bike kit: an allen key, keys, GPS, bike light, etc...). This tutorial makes a 4 ¼” square, but you can modify these instructions to make a pocket of any size. Stitch your pocket by hand or with a sewing machine and embellish it or leave it plain. This is the perfect time to use a favorite button from your button collection.

There are two ways to access the pattern: you can add it to your shopping cart, and once you complete the check-out process (no credit card required) the tutorial will automatically be emailed to you. OR you can click the image above to view and/or download the PDF file straight from this page.

Need felt or fabric? I have the same felt that I use in my studio for sale in bundles and grab bags here and you can find plant-dyed fabric bundles and remnants here.

I'd love to see your creations! It would make me so happy if you shared them... please tag @katagolda on Instagram.
