wool felt flower pins
$ 24.00
I am making these wool felt flower pins as a part of my 100 Day Project. It is the perfect way to use up my plant-dyed wool felt remnants. These scraps feel extra precious as I grew the flowers in my dye garden and dyed the felt in my home dye studio. I am so glad that I devoted myself to the 100 Day Project. There is something special in knowing that others are also committing to this daily practice. It makes me feel like i am a part of something much bigger than me, and I love to imagine other people’s rituals. I delight in the routine and find great satisfaction in seeing it through, staying the course. I relish all aspects of this project: planning and sketching, prepping my materials, and then knowing that there is a like-minded community devoting a little time each day to being creative. I have stitched over 60 wool felt flower pins since the project began in February. I made a few extra for my shop just in time for Mother’s Day.
Working on these flowers brings me such joy…speaking of JOY, Joy is my mom’s name…she will be receiving one for Mother’s Day. It is also a time I think about all of those great women I admire. The gift of a flower, this is one that will last as the seasons change.
Flowers are hand stitched and range in size from 3 x 1" to 3.5 x 3.5".
