Each book is covered in patchwork of indigo-dyed fabric and embellished with a hand-stitched amulet design. My two favorite things (amulets and giant journals) combined in one place.

This is the book that I use EVERY DAY. It holds my lists, sketches, and taped little bits of thread and fabric for color exploration. 

This book is meant to be used. When we have beautiful things made by hand, we are more likely to use them in a meaningful way. I begin by hand-tearing soft white, unlined, acid-free, 80# text paper that is ideal for drawing and writing with pen or pencil. The exposed spine stitching allows the book to lay flat when it is open, and because this book is so large I reinforced the hinge area of the spine.

Each book contains 116 pages, measures 9.5 x 12.5" and is covered with organic cotton/hemp fabric that is plant-dyed in small batches in my dye studio with plants from my dye garden.
