leaning into love. January 31 2026

i know that you, dear readers and supporters of my work, do not come here for political commentary... but my heart is absolutely broken. i was born and raised in minneapolis. i have dear friends bearing witness to the atrocities happening there. they are showing up to care for their neighbors who are living in fear. it is these acts of love, resilience, defiance, courage, and community that give me a whisper of hope.
i designed a new jewelry collection, which i feel reluctant to promote in the midst of so much suffering and unrest. yet working on these small and precious creations is keeping me out of a negative spiral. these items, made by my hands, will be gifted with love. reminding people that we care for them deeply is one of the most important things we can do.
(along with voting! donating money where we can! protesting injustice! fighting fascism!)
this is an excellent resource if you are in a position to make a donation.
i will be donating 100% of the proceeds from the heart charm necklace to stand with minnesota.
(through feb 7th, the last day to order for valentine’s day)
this collection reflects my deep relationship with handwork and nature, and my effort to find balance between rugged strength and delicate beauty. cast by hand out of recycled bronze, each charm is inspired by the organic shapes found in nature. the form, variation, feel, and energy of each piece is intentionally raw and imperfect. and while there is a delicacy to the crocheted cord, it is not fragile. i designed two new necklaces, two new bracelets, and two new pairs of earrings to add to my jewelry collection.
i also made a very small batch of more delicate necklaces. for the lock necklace, i made cordage from recycled vintage sari silk reinforced with tightly wrapped bronze wire. each necklace is sweetly packaged for gifting in a plant-dyed wool felt pocket.
