a tangible place to keep all the lists, words & images November 08 2025

journals of all sizes are almost always within reach, and each serves it’s own purpose.
lists, notes, sketches, tasks, inspiration, designs, musings, proposals, goals, favorite words... i write it all down. when i need to give my memory a nudge, i return to my journals. i may not immediately know which book my lost thought landed in, but i know it is somewhere in the rotating stack. writing everything down down liberates my mind. without the pressure of remembering, i am more creative and focused. flipping through the pages always sparks a memory. i love everything about these journals: tearing the paper, stitching the spine, selecting the color for the covers, and using them.
my favorite journals for personal use become the journals that i sell in my shop.

it just so happens that ALL journal sizes are currently in stock.
(even the ones that tend to sell out as fast as i can make them.)

1. the daily practice journal
a year (or more) contained in a super thick 366-page journal

2. the extra large journal
this is the journal that i use every single day.

3. the large journal in patchwork or plain
an exploration in plant-dyed linen in the ‘just right’ size.

4. the hemp journal:
a staple in the kata golda collection, available
plain or embroidered.

5. the little felt journal:
now chubbier! makes the sweetest stocking stuffer.

6. the pocket notebook:
a slim journal to keep in your back pocket.

you can also learn to make your own journals…
once you learn the skill, it is endlessly adaptable. the DIY bookbinding kit (refills available) offers step-by-step instructions for the coptic bookbinding technique. the DIY accordion fold book kit makes a book that holds photos, sketches, and watercolors and is a wonderful gift.
